Connecting the Pacific and Atlantic, Panama Canal is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the world.
It was completed in 1914, opened in 1915, and become an international waterway since 1920. Thanks to the opening of the Panama Canal, voyage between the Pacific and the Atlantic is shortened by 5000-10000 km. Now, annual traffic through the canal is 12,000 to 15,000 vessels coming from all over the world.
Panama Canal Museum is a non-profit and public museum in Panama City. Its collections include original tools, mapping and measuring instruments, more than 16,500 objects - photographs, artwork, newspapers, books and ephemera. There is also a simulator of a cargo ship that let you stand in the position of the captain, experiencing how the ship drives through the canal.
